I bought this book used—-it was in extremely good condition. This the 8.5 x 11 with very good sized print (much better than the smaller size (5″ x 8″).
The price was so good I couldn’t pass it up ($8.11). New ones are $27 and up. I would definitely recommend this song book for anyone who likes to do sing-a-long.

The content of this book is great. I learned how to play guitar with an earlier version of this book, and I was very excited to order it. That being said, beware – it is NOT spiral-bound. The book I received is a paperback, with large staples to support the binding, like many others have stated in their reviews. It is not at all appropriate for music stand use. I would have provided a 5-star rating had this book been in the advertised format.

Bought it used. A bit of water damage and some writing inside. There were also large staples into the spine to hold it together better (not sure why, the spine looked perfectly intact).
Concerning the content – it’s great. It lists the lyrics and song chords for guitar. You might need to look up the melodies online. You can find most of them on YouTube.

I have owned this book off and on over the years, and just recently purchased it again. It has 800+ songs, with the simple cords over the words, which makes the songs easy for someone like me, who can’t play very well, to be able to play songs I love and have a wonderful time doing so. The book contains many Christian songs as well as popular songs and folk songs, and is especially good for those old 1970’s songs I grew up with. This latest edition has many newer, contemporary songs – Christian, popular, and country – songs too. This is a must have songbook for all guitar players!

I was so excited that I found this book that I ordered two of them, one for me and one for a friend. The first one came, it is dark red, not green and it does not have a spiral-bound…but it has 2 large staples. This makes it hard to keep it open…so I cannot use it as I was planning. I already applied for a refund. I am waiting the second one hoping that it is a spiral-bound one.
Update: the second one was not spiral-bound either. But when I asked for a refund for both of them I was told that I do not need to send the books back. That made me think to see how much would cost me to put a spiral-bind. I went to an printing office and they charged me almost $11 for spiral-bounding one of them with a plastic spiral. So, I paid a little more than what my plan was but at least it stays wide open now and I can use it. I am pleased with how it turned out and I am thinking to bind the second one too and still give it to my friend.
