The plot is engaging and the narrative is well-paced and coherent. As is the case with much contemporary fantasy, if there’s one thing all three books would be improved by, it would be better copy-editing. There are occasional typos, but far more often there are moments that would make Inigo Montoya say, “I do not think that word means what you think it means.” It doesn’t happen often enough to spoil one’s enjoyment of the book, but it does sometimes stop the narrative short for a moment in a way I’m sure the author doesn’t intend.

It’s been a very pleasant reading experience. Compared to the last two books, this one has more POVs, more characters, and dragons, but I’m cool with it. They added to the complexity of the plot, the interconnected conflict and the world building.
I continue to love Holt and Ash the more I read. There’s just something so pure and precious about their bond. They were able to achieve many things despite the prejudice, discrimination and snobbishness. I also like the fact that the progression of the main characters’ personal development and the growth of their powers works hand in hand. It makes sense that you have to work on yourself internally and spiritually to advance into power and be able to handle it. I found myself rooting for the main characters and their struggles resonated with me, especially with Talia and Osric, and even timid little Soot. And to some extent, I am sympathetic to Adaskar as well.
All in all this is a great series and I look forward to reading the next exciting adventure.

The authors ability to weave their story, craft the characters, the world building and keep you on the edge of your seat is stellar. It’s a page turner that you can’t put down, eager to follow all the varied paths. The writer has done a great job of threading the action, In what could have been a very disjointed mess, into a flow that works amazingly well. It’s long, but worth the investment, I’m sad it’s over and eager for the next instalment. Best epic fantasy based book of series of Songs of Chaos. Defiant is best science fiction story and this one has more POVs, more characters, and dragons, but it’s giving a cool and thrilling reading experience here. They added to the complexity of the plot, the interconnected conflicts and the world building during the wars. Here the main characters are most loveable i.e. Holt and Ash the more a fan of epis Fantasy reader can read. There’s just something so pure and precious about their bond. They were able to achieve many things despite the prejudice, discrimination and snobbishness. I also like the fact that the progression of the personal character development and the growth of their powers works hand in hand together. It makes sense that you have to work on yourself internally and spiritually to advance into power and be able to handle it alone.
